Keeping a diary is never something I felt particularly inclined to do. It was the kind of the thing I associated with being an angsty teenager suffering from unrequited love that required scented paper and an ornate pen to write with. In recent years, however, I’ve heard some hugely successful people say how journaling is a crucial part of their day for organising their thoughts, setting an agenda and keeping track of progress.

Firstly, I like the fact we’re not calling it "keeping a diary" anymore and secondly, there’s evidence to suggest physical and mental health is improved by the daily practise of journaling.

So, for this habit, I’m going to start and end my day with a journal entry, but there are going to be some rules and structures in place so I can get the most out of the experience. Tune in to find out how and where I’m going to be journaling...
